Botulinum toxin: FDA approved treatments for moderate for severe glabellar (forehead) lines. Overtime with repeated facial expressions and aging of the skin can have lasting lines. Botulinum toxins work by limiting the function of the underlying muscles that they are injected into. Jeuveau and Xeomin are prescription medications that block the release of chemicals responsible for muscle contractions so that lines can then be softened. Both products give a "refreshed and not frozen look" so that your ageless look will be your little secret. Botulinum toxins have shown some clients to have improvements in headache conditions, jaw pain, reduction of boxy jaw lines, and excessive sweating of the arm pits (hyperhidrosis).

Products offered: Jeuveau, the only neurotoxin on the market exclusively dedicated to aesthetics, can see results beginning in as little as 2 days, and natural looking results can last up to 4 months.

Xeomin- Referred to as the “SmartTox” by using a two-step filtration process to remove any unnecessary proteins that may contribute to building up an immunity to Botulinum toxin products.

Acupuncture

Battlefield Acupuncture is an acupuncture protocol where needles are placed in the ear to reduce pain. The entire body is represented in the ear and placing small needles in the ear can effect the entire body. There is evidence that acupuncture stimulation results in local biochemical effects that promote tissue healing and improve pain by two different pain pathways.

Price: $50/session

Trigger Point Injection

Trigger point injections: Involves the insertion of a needle into the tight muscle bands, muscle knots, and trigger points. A local anesthetic is injected directly into the affected muscle(s) of the neck. This low-risk intervention can be helpful with improving isolated muscle spasm and muscular trigger points.

Price $50 per session

Botox for Migraines, TMJ, and Hyperhidrosis

How it works: Botox, or botulinum toxin, helps with migraines by being injected into specific muscles around the head and neck, where it blocks the release of chemicals that transmit pain signals to the brain, essentially preventing the nerves from sending pain messages associated with migraines; this is thought to occur by impacting certain pain pathways that are considered overactive in migraine sufferers. Additionally, it helps to relax the muscles that affect TMJ pain, cervicogenic triggers for headaches, and can help to reduce sweat gland activity for hyperhidrosis.
What to expect: The treatment is quick, minimally invasive, requires no downtime. Most would say that the pain is minimal. Results typically start to appear within the first week after treatment. Within 2 weeks you can look forward to having reduced pain symptoms. For some conditions it can take up to 3 total treatments to see optimal effects.
The frequency of visits can be as soon as every 3 months. The time needed for each visit is between 15-30 minutes. Your initial visit tends to be longer for a thorough medical review, and to ensure that your treatment plan is tailored to optimize your results.
Cost: Botox: $12-13/unit

Treatment areas and typical range of dosing
- Hyperhidrosis (20-50 units per arm pit)
- Masseter/TMJ (15-50 units per side)
- Migraine (155 Units)
*Recommended doses are individualized to optimize results
